A versatile and veteran performer Steve is comfortable in performing and teaching in many different
venues and circumstances: concerts, festivals, pubs and lounges, schools and workshops. This veteran songwriter,
musician and entertainer presents "quality acoustic music" and regularly crosses genres and generations
with ease, style and wit.

Steve subscribes to the Guy Clark songwriting dictum -
"a good songwriter doesn't write sets, they develop repertoire".

When not performing one of the many original tunes from his repertoire, Steve will often pull out tunes by
other northern writers from the Yukon and Alaska.

Steve has a prodigious repertoire and on any given night you might find him adding
the soul of Motown or Ray Charles; the pop sensibilities of Van Morrison or Bob Dylan; the bluesy grit of
Wille Dixon or Freddie King; the country charms of Gene Autrey or Hank Williams Sr; a couple of jazz standards,
and probably even a gospel song or two. Oh yeah, and the folk stuff too!!

You might even get him to yodel a Jimmy Rodgers tune or throw in a few a-cappella numbers.
